These Terms govern text message communications between The Home Steward LLC and its clients.
Effective Date: July 29th 2026
Services provided by The Home Steward LLC are governed separately by the Client Service Agreement, published at homestewardnj.com.

1. PROGRAM
1.1 Program Name
The Home Steward LLC.
1.2 Program Description
By providing your mobile telephone number to The Home Steward LLC, you consent to receive text messages from us in connection with the home management services we provide.
We do not send promotional or marketing messages of any kind.
1.3 Message Types
Messages sent under this program may include:
Appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling changes
Visit documentation and job status updates
Estimates, invoices, and payment notifications
Storm, alarm, and emergency notifications relating to your property
Responses to your support enquiries
We will not contact you outside the scope of your service relationship with us.
2. CONSENT AND ELIGIBILITY
2.1 How You Opt In
You consent to receive text messages when you provide your mobile number to us — by submitting a form on homestewardnj.com, during onboarding, or by giving it to us directly in the course of arranging services.
2.2 Consent Is Not a Condition of Purchase
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service from The Home Steward. You may decline text messages at any time and we will contact you by telephone or email instead.
2.3 Eligibility
You must be the account holder for the mobile number you provide, or have the account holder's permission to enrol that number. You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
3. MESSAGE FREQUENCY AND RATES
3.1 Frequency
Message frequency varies with your service activity. Most clients receive five to ten messages a month. Volume may be higher during an active project, while you are travelling on a Steward Away plan, or where a matter at your property requires immediate attention.
3.2 Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier if you have questions about your messaging or data plan.
4. OPT-OUT AND SUPPORT
4.1 Opt-Out
You may unsubscribe from text messages at any time.
To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text message from us. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To re-subscribe, reply START.
4.2 Effect of Opting Out
Opting out of text messages does not cancel or affect your service agreement with The Home Steward.
We will continue to reach you by telephone and email, including for urgent matters at your property. Text is often the fastest way we can reach you while you are away from home, so it is worth considering before you opt out.

5. DELIVERY AND CARRIERS
5.1 Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5.2 No Guarantee of Delivery
Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by your carrier, your device, or your network coverage. Text messages should not be relied upon as the sole means of receiving urgent information.
6. PRIVACY
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, published at homestewardnj.com.
We do not sell your personal information or your SMS opt-in data. We do not share either with any third party for marketing purposes, or with any third party for that party's own purposes.
7. GENERAL PROVISIONS
7.1 Related Terms
These Terms cover text messaging only. All services provided by The Home Steward are governed by the Client Service Agreement, published at homestewardnj.com.
7.2 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our text messaging service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
7.3 Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Union County, New Jersey.

Notices to The Home Steward shall be sent to hello@homestewardnj.com or 16 Canterbury Lane, Summit, NJ 07901.
ACCEPTANCE
By providing your mobile telephone number to The Home Steward LLC, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.
